In this blistering solo show, join legendary hellraiser Oliver Reed as he knocks back a few drinks and shares his incredible life story. Set in a bar in Malta in 1999, during a break filming 'Gladiator’ with Russell Crowe, time is fast running out for the 'Wild Thing’. Rob Crouch brings Reed back to vivid life in this swaggering, brilliant evening of entertainment.

Keeley to record new album

Tullamore singer Brendan Keeley has reached out to supporters in a bid to fund a new album. The estimated cost of making the album is just under €20,000, but the singer has promised supporters it will be a hit. Supporters can pledge any amount to the campaign until June 6, while pledges of €20 or more, €100 or more or €5,000 come with special perks.

The first batch of acts to perform at Castlepalooza in Tullamore has been announced. Artists to perform at the festival staged at Charleville Castle over the August bank holiday weekend include “And So I Watch You From Afar”, “Ghostpoet”, “Le Galaxie” and “Fight Like Apes”.

Offaly Fleadh and Gathering event in Kilcormac

Kilcormac’s joint Fleadh and Gathering celebration kicked off two days ago, but there’s still lots to look forward to before the party ends on Sunday. Ballyboy CCE is hosting this weekend’s Fleadh Cheoil Uibh Fhaili in Kilcormac, and they have been joined by the Kilcormac Development Association to make it a double celebration including a Gathering event.

The local line up for Tullamore Parish fundraiser “Stars in Their Eyes” has been revealed. The fundraising show based on the popular television format will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on May 17 and will feature locals impersonating famous singers.

St Mary’s Youth and Community Centre in Tullamore will stage Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” on May 1, 2 and 3 next. The production will mark the seventh for primary school children at the centre. The first half of the evening’s entertainment will feature younger children in a production called “All About Me” while the second half will be taken up with the well known and much loved “Beauty and the Beast”.

Bond themed night to raise funds for Arts Centre

Tullamore ladies will be doing their bit to support the arts and have a fun night out when they indulge in an evening of glamour, music and entertainment next week. The “Licence to Thrill” event will take place at the Nissan garage off the Clara Road, and will be a James Bond themed evening with a suggested dress option of black and diamonds. Funds raised will go towards the Tullamore Community Arts Centre.

A new band including members from Clara and Moate will kick off their local career with a gig in Doc’s Bar in Clara this Sunday, March 31. “The Secrets” include Joe Rabbette, Noreen Rabette and Nigel Rabbitte from Clara as well as Steve Devaney from Moate. Together they make up a live four piece band consisting of drums, bass, guitar and piano/keyboard.
